Objectives

• To improve ankle and foot musculoskeletal physical exam skills
• To increase proficiency with lower extremity musculoskeletal injury diagnosis through physical examination

Dr. Wayne Moschetti graduated from the University of New Hampshire magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. After working in healthcare technology in New York City he obtained his MD from Boston University School of Medicine where he graduated magna cum laude. While completing his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, he obtained a Masters of Science from The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice. He then completed a one-year fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery/Total Joint Arthroplasty at Harvard's Brigham and Women's hospital in Boston, MA.  Dr. Moschetti returned to Dartmouth Hitchcock in 2014 with an interest in primary knee and hip arthroplasty with an emphasis on the direct anterior approach, partial knee replacements, uncemented total knees, patient specific technology, revision hip and knee arthroplasty, complex acetabular reconstruction, periprosthetic fracture management, periprosthetic infections, knee fusions, and general Orthopaedic trauma.  He is Chief of the division of Arthroplasty and started an Adult Reconstruction fellowship where he serves as fellowship director.  He was drawn back to the underlying core values and culture at Dartmouth where a strong emphasis on patient reported outcomes and shared decision making places the patient at the epicenter of their medical care.  He hopes to build long term lasting relationships with his patients with musculoskeletal needs.

Dr. Theodore is a native of Boston, and a graduate of both Harvard College and Harvard Medical School. He completed his residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program. He served as the Chief Resident at the Massachusetts General Hospital, and later completed a fellowship at the Brigham and Women's Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Theodore's interests include knee, ankle, and foot surgery, with a focus on sports-related injuries. He is a nationally recognized expert in the management of injuries in professional athletes and dancers, and he has treated some of the top athletes in the United States. Dr. Theodore is an expert in cartilage injuries, ligament injuries, and extracorporeal shockwave treatment. He has appeared on the Today Show, as well as various cable and local television programs. He has been featured in USA Today, The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, Forbes Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Women's World, and National Public Radio. In 2005, he was named a top orthopaedic foot and ankle specialist by Boston Magazine.  In 2012, he was named a top orthopaedic surgeon by Boston Magazine.

Dr. Theodore serves as Team Physician for the Boston Red Sox, and he was part of the medical staff of the 2004 and 2007 World Series Championship Teams. He is a consultant to the New England Patriots, Boston Bruins and New England Revolution. Dr. Theodore is a faculty member of the Mass GeneralSports Medicine Fellowship Program.
