The New England College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (NECOEM) is a regional component society of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM). Physician membership in ACOEM and residence or medical practice in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Vermont will automatically grant full NECOEM membership.
All component society dues are assessed by ACOEM. Affiliate membership in ACOEM is open to non-physicians working in a field related to occupational and environmental medicine who have advanced training in a related field. Please provide documentation of your certificate, license, or advanced training at time of application.
Please see the ACOEM membership section online or contact the ACOEM Membership Department at (847) 818-1800, ext. 372; Fax: (847) 818-8347; or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Benefits of all levels of NECOEM component membership include: access to the most current information in the field including discounted educational events, (like the nationally recognized fall Annual Conference pictured above, live webinars jointly held with the Harvard School of Public Health), informal networking dinners we call “MeetUps,” subscription to the NECOEM Reporter newsletter, PowerPoint audio and video presentations, both local and national leadership opportunities and more. NECOEM members are eligible for service as a component society officer which helps fill requirements for fellowship status in ACOEM.
ACOEM membership is a partnership of professionals that reaches around the world with opportunities for education, recognition and for leadership. Together with almost 4,500 colleagues, your membership enhances the stature and recognition of the specialty; strengthens the voice of OEM in health policy debates; and promotes new levels of competency in the prevention and treatment of illness, injury, and disability in the work environment and community.
